Wiring a ceiling fan - The bathroom fan is a necessity for many people. The small fan pushes air out of the bathroom, removing moisture and preventing mold growth. Install the vent and the ceiling fan is the most time-consuming part of the whole process. Also, once the fan is installed, you have to connect the wiring to the house to work. Enter the house wiring into the hole located on the top of the bathroom fan, and you’re going to install the fan. Open the fan in the bathroom by removing the outer cover.
Unscrew the motor of the fan box with a screwdriver and remove the wiring plug. This allows you to remove the metal plate that covers the wiring a ceiling fan. Pull the wires leading from the house to where you can see them. You should have a black wire and one white (in some cases it may be green or copper). The black wire is the positive and white is neutral. If you have a copper or green, this is a ground wire. Peel the tips of the house wires and cables on the other end of the engine using the wire stripper. Tighten the cable peeler just below the end of the cable and pull to remove the coating.
